One missing tooth replaced permanently with a crown and implant that blends seamlessly with your natural smile.
A single dental implant is the most conservative and long-lasting solution for one missing tooth. Unlike a bridge, it requires no preparation of the adjacent teeth. Unlike a partial denture, it's fixed permanently in place. It looks, feels, and functions exactly like a natural tooth — and with proper care, it can last a lifetime.
How it works
A small titanium post is placed into the jawbone at the site of the missing tooth. Over a healing period of three to six months, the implant integrates with the surrounding bone in a process called osseointegration. Once fully stable, a custom ceramic crown is attached — precisely matched to the shape and shade of your surrounding teeth.
Replacing a missing tooth with an implant does more than restore your smile. It preserves the bone at the extraction site, prevents neighbouring teeth from drifting, and maintains the natural contours of your face.
The process at DentArt
Treatment begins with a comprehensive assessment including 3D imaging to evaluate the bone at the implant site and plan precise placement. Dr. Karim Lee performs all implant surgery at DentArt, with the final crown designed and fitted by your treating dentist for a seamless result.
What if I've had the tooth missing for a while?
Bone loss begins shortly after a tooth is lost and continues over time. If significant bone loss has occurred at the site, a bone graft may be recommended before implant placement to ensure sufficient volume for a stable, long-lasting result. We'll assess this at your initial consultation.
